The Last Story is now available. Unlike Xenoblade Chronicles, only available at GameStop (in-store/online) and Nintendo of America online store, you can purchase The Last Story anywhere wherever video games are sold. Developed by Mistwalker and published by Nintendo in all countries it was released in except for North America, where XSEED handles the localization, those who have played any game in the Final Fantasy series will recognize two well-known names behind this game: The creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and music composer Nobuo Uematsu.
The first release copies of the game come with a custom box and 44-page artbook, and those who preordered the game from GameStop, EB Games, or Amazon got this mini-sountrack CD. Very nice incentive for Day 1 purchasers, but rather lacking compared to what the UK got as a Limited Edition. I guess you can’t have what you want all the time, but I’m not complaining.
Sorry I couldn’t record myself playing the opening sequence of the game. I’ll just have to leave this trailer here.
For more information, check out The Last Story‘s website. Remember, buying these kinds of games will support more games like these that have yet to be released outside Japan.
