They told you this would happen.
You should’ve listened to them.
You could’ve stopped it.
Why didn’t you listen?
Why couldn’t you stop it?
The episode begins with a look into Mizuka’s past. It seems that a motorcycle accident was what caused her disability. Misa then sent her the leg braces.
Meanwhile, it appears GunBuild-2 is finally complete! They were able to use the monopole to construct the motor, which will give it more mobility than GunBuild-1. Speaking of which, monopoles have been falling out of the sky for awhile. Also, in order to power it, they have to use a laser cannon. Subaru instructs Kai and Junna (who will be operating the machine) not to point it at anyone, or else they’ll die. Fortunately, it’s designed to only fire when it’s pointing at the satellite dish on GunBuild-2’s back.
The first test run begins and it goes as they expected it to go.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that JAXA has scheduled another rocket launch, so Nae tells the Robot Club that for security reasons, they have to vacate the warehouse by next week. Later that day, the Robot Club try another test run of GunBuild-2, and Junna notices stiffness in the legs as its walking. When Subaru goes to take a closer look, a huge gust of wind causes GunBuild-2 to topple over and fall into Subaru’s direction.
Meanwhile, Kai and Geji-nee finds Kimijima Report No. 7, but is stopped by Mizuka as he is about to download it. They then hear the “Kagome, Kagome” theme on their tablets, accompanied by an anonymous call. Mizuka’s braces suddenly start malfunctions and sends her walking towards the nearby cliff. Kai tries to stop her but it’s no good. Mizuka tells Kai to thank Misa for the braces before going over the edge.
I should’ve known that flashback at the beginning was gonna be a death flag. But damn, I never expected this! And Kagari got killed off in this week’s Psycho-Pass. This sucks!! I’m gonna need some time to recover from this one…
