So the good news is Subaru isn’t dead. I’m not surprised; I don’t think the show would kill him off like that. But the bad news is GunBuild-2 falling on him injured him severly and because of that, the vice principal is ordering the Robot Research Club to be permanately disbanded, their sponsorships and support cut off, and all of their robots to be dismantled immediately. Subaru’s dad has disallowed them any contact with Subaru.
Later that day, Kai gets a call from Frau, who was reworking the auto-balance on GunBuild-2. He asks Kai whether if “Kagome, Kagome” is probably a warning since it came up before Mizuka’s braces malfunctioned.
The next day, Kai goes back to where Kimijima Report No. 7 is, but Toshiyuki Sawada of Exoskeleton Company, and Misaki’s boss, intervenes to question him about Kou Kimijima and the “Kagome, Kagome” sound. He reveals that Kimijima died around the same time as the Anemone Incident before leaving. Soon after, Misaki calls him, telling him to keep the Kimijima Reports safe.
She calls Aki as well, but only to give her words of degradation. That was just a dream. Later, since the club is going to be disbanded, Aki decides to go it alone and work on GunBuild-2 herself. Kai berates her for being selfish after what happened to Mizuka and Subaru and goes to tell the vice principal to have GunBuild-2 dismantled. Aki stops him by accepting his challenge to a game of KILL-BALLAD.
Aki beats Kai at KILL-BALLAD. Afterwards, Doc shows up, supposedly to dismantle the robot, but actually he wants to fix it back up for his own enjoyment. And Mitchi gives them the prize money they won at the ROBO-ONE Tournament so the Robot Club can operate independantly from the school.
The episode concludes with Kai downloading Kimijima Report No. 7. However, this report doesn’t contain any text at all. It actually copies the previous six reports and sends them worldwide…
OK, this definitely does not seem to be a good thing. What’ll happen next?! I swear waiting for these shows brings me one step closer to death.
