Majestic Prince // First impressions

These are our heroes. How screwed are we?

These are our heroes. How screwed are we?

So right off the bat, the show outright tells you that this isn’t supposed to be taken seriously. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be a good thing or bad thing, but let’s find out.

Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince is a Dogakobo and Orange adaptation of Rando Ayamine’s manga. In the year 2110, aliens from Jupiter known as Wulgaru waged war against humanity, who has evolved as they immigrate into outer space. The story follows Team Rabbits of the MJP Project, consisting of Izuru Hitachi (center), Toshikazu Asagi (left-center), Tamaki Irie (right), Kei Kugimiya (right-center), and Ataru Suruga (left). They don’t seem to like working together, let alone each other, and because of this, they have the worst performance in the academy, they’ve earned themselves the nickname “The Fail Five.” However, these band of misfits may be the GDF’s hope to turn the tide against the Wulgaru… if they don’t tear each other apart first.

Well, it’s an okay start so far. The characters, as well as I, feel as if they’re throwing alot of stuff out at them, and then suddenly being thrust into battle, unaware of the threat posed against them. Here’s hoping it’ll get better, because the PV looked interesting enough, but not the first episode itself.
