The episode begins with Jungo and Airi entering the JP’s Nagoya Branch via air duct. It’s either too big for Jungo, or Airi’s too small. Take your pick. Meanwhile, Daichi and Io are in a rush to find Hibiki and prevent his fated death from happening. Speaking of Hibiki, he, Ronaldo, Otome, and Joe arrive to where the next Spetentrione will appear to formulate an attack plan. They ponder whether they should use Nicaea, a power of unknown origin. Hibiki just decides that it’s better than not having any power at all.
Daichi and Io manage to find Hibiki and informs him of his death clip. They also plan to join forces against the next Septentrione attack.
Hibiki tries to convince them to stop the fighting, but they’re not listening. What actually cuts them short is the arrival of the third Septentrione, Phecda.
Sine they have a mutual enemy, they decide to call a temporory truce to deal with Phecda. They try to attack it, but their attacks do nothing. To make matters worse, it makes use of JP’s power supply to charge its Dark Thunder attack to take out their demons, It prepares to charge up another attack, but Hibiki steps in and set Phecda ablaze with Suzaku. Daichi and Io come to back him up, while Otome uses her demon, Megami Sarasvati, to Drain Phecda’s power.
Phecda then splits into two to use a piercing laser attack to destroy the demons, the same beam seen in Hibiki’s death clip. With both of his demons down, Hibiki finds himself at the mercy of Phecda’s attack, until Yamato comes in and his Cereberus lay waste to both halves.
Turns out while they were dealing with Phecda, Fumi worked on the Terminal, which is a transporter device, to transport JP’s operatives to take back the Nagoya Branch. The Terminal was also how Yamato got there as well. Yamato reveals he only came because he wanted Hibiki back as his pawn. Ronaldo then reveals Yamato’s plan to everyone that he plans to rule the world.
Hibiki prepares to challenge him until Alcor shows up and reveals that Yamato real reason for intervening was to prevent Hibiki’s death.
So it’s revealed early on that once the Septentriones are defeated, someone could potentially rule the world and shape it to their own will. How won’t be revealed until much later. One thing is sure: Yamato’s a dick.
