SAO 2MuchTraumaDrama4Me #10

And here you though she wasn't going to be part of Kirito's harem.

And here you though she wasn’t going to be part of Kirito’s harem.

A eulogy to Sinon’s character. Started off with an unneccessary ass shot. Ended with being gun violence nonsense that leads her to being dependent on Kirito.

What, were you expecting her not to be reduced to nothing?

You know, it defeats the purpose of a dramatic moment when you sneak in unneccesary butt shots. Again, Sweet Ass Online can't keep its pants on for 10 minutes.

Where last episode left off, Death Gun is about to deal the finishing shot to Sinon using a gun that is the same one that she used to kill the burglar. Using smoke grenades and a sniper rifle, Kirito stops Death Gun and escapes with Sinon on a buggy.

So Death Gun's ride isn't any kind of vehicle, but a robot horse. Not even making this up; it's a robot horse. What, is the horse called Death Gun too?

Sinon cannot shoot in her current state but with words from Kirito, at least manages to distract Death Gun enough to make him lose their trail. They decide to hide out in a cave in the desert area to avoid the next satellite scan.

Also it turns out that Gunner X wasn’t Death Gun because Gunner X is female (Yes, there is indeed another female player in GGO besides Sinon) Also, “Gunner” is actually supposed to be read as “Musketeer.” After Kirito had defeated her offscreen (Because this show can only tell you how it went instead of actually taking the effort of showing you), he borrowed her equipment and went to Sinon’s aid.

Take a look. This is how a character defined as being emotionally scarred by gun violence is utterly stomped on.

Then the episode takes a turn for the worse when Sinon is reduced to a utter blubbering tsundere wreck. It’s actually quite painful to watch, and I don’t mean painful as in “I feel so sad for her” but painful as in “Is this the most stupidest thing I’ve ever seen or what?” Oh and speaking of stupid, get a load of this crap.

Sorry, but that’s the stupidest line ever spewed out of any character this season. I’d expect this kind of nonsense from Asuna…

then the episode ends with Kirito once again explaining stuff we’ve know for at least a few episodes, because this show seriously thinks we forget important info about Death Gun being an former SAO player.

This infuriatingly terrible episode marks not only Strike 2 for SAO II, but yet another low point for Sword Art Online as a whole. If there’s one thing this garbage fails at, among other things, it’s portraying drama without making it look overblown, forced, and unbelievable. Again, Sinon’s character makes absolutely no sense. “I’ve been traumatized by gun violence and playing Online First-Person Shooters, where I’m surrounded by guns, will make me stronger in real life.” Give me a break. This isn’t not good writing. This is an rundown on how characters are “written” here, especially females: “Here’s a potentially good character. I’ll spend an episode or two on why you should like her. Now that I have your interest, watch as I completely slaughter everything that made her interesting and make her dependent on Kirito-kun while I laugh at your face, you fucking idiot.” It’s happened to Asuna, it’s happened to Suguha, it’s happened to Sinon. Strictly formula. This season is now imploding on itself (again), and I’m glad I had no expectations for this because I’d feel real stupid if I thought this would actually not be awful. This arc can end now, because I’m already fed up with its crap.
